SKIN CHECKS CAN SAVE LIVES
Skin cancers account for around 80% of all newly diagnosed cancers in Australia each year^. Regular skin checks can lead to early detection and diagnosis of skin cancer when it’s most treatable.
Thanks to our partnership with MoleMap, we’re offering eligible members* a free skin check at special HCF sessions held at selected HCF Centres and MoleMap clinics throughout the year. Appointments are limited. You must book through the link on this page to take advantage of the offer, which is not available when you book directly through MoleMap.

HOW SKIN CHECKS WORK
Who should get a skin check?
Consider getting a skin check if:
- you’ve noticed a new or changing mole
- you have a family history of skin cancer
- you have fair skin prone to sunburn
- you haven’t had a skin check in more than 1 year.
What’s involved?
An experienced melanographer (skin cancer specialist) from MoleMap will give you a thorough head-to-toe assessment in a private room. The session will take up to 20 mins.
Any suspicious moles will be photographed using under-the-skin imaging and sent electronically to a dermatologist for their expert diagnosis.
Your melanographer will provide some tips around sun safety and reducing cancer risk, as well as a full dermatologist’s report outlining the next steps, if needed.
Where can I get a free skin check?
HCF is offering eligible members* a free MoleMap skin check at selected HCF Centres and MoleMap clinics on set dates throughout the year. Appointments are limited.
These special skin check sessions are free for HCF members aged 18 or over with hospital cover. Excludes extras only, Ambulance Cover, Accident Only Basic and Overseas Visitors Health Cover.
How can I book?
The free skin check offer is only available using the booking links on this page and unique HCF member promo codes. Please note, the free offer isn’t available when you book through MoleMap directly.
